1962 FORD GALAXIE – PROJECT CAR (WOOD FRONT)
For sale: a 1962 Ford Galaxie – a full-size early ’60s sedan in project condition. The car has its own history – time has left visible marks, and a tree has actually grown into the front of the vehicle, embedding itself in the bumper and grille, which currently makes the engine bay inaccessible. On the windshield, the classic note “ran when parked” still remains – and it speaks for itself.
The body retains all emblems and trim, with the chrome still in place. There is surface rust, especially on the hood and bumpers, but the straight body lines and completeness of the parts make this car a solid base for further work.
Inside, you’ll find a complete turquoise-tone interior – the original period dashboard, Ford-branded steering wheel, wide front and rear bench seats, and detailed door panels. The materials require restoration, but the car has not been disassembled – everything that should be there, is there.
This Galaxie is begging for a new life – whether kept as a patina cruiser with a unique story, or taken on as a full restoration project. The 1962 models are becoming increasingly rare, and complete examples, even in need of work, hold strong collector potential today.
